In the 42 years since, the outdoor shopping and dining destination has grown to symbolize the region’s relaxed yet sophisticated resort lifestyle. In response to changing tastes and needs of the clientele, Fashion Island has evolved through the decades. Today, that transformation continues as Fashion Island ushers in another exciting chapter. Over the next year as part of a major reinvestment program, the center will welcome Nordstrom to its already impressive lineup of department store anchors. At the same time, dramatic upgrades inspired by classic European resorts and cities will occur to Fashion Island’s architecture and plazas.
